Job Description

The Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) is a regulatory framework published by the European Commission that will come into law on 17th January 2025. A project has been established and initiated within M&G to identify gaps and remediate these to ensurecomplete adherence to DORA regulations. Given DORA is an EU regulation, it will legally impact EU entities within M&G (i.e. Luxembourg, Poland (PIA) and Dublin (PIA)) and will therefore be implemented for these areas as priority, however DORA will also beapplied to the UK as best practice. Gap Analysis is underway by the Group and given the volume of requirements, a Business Analyst resource is required to work with the Group owners to gather documentation and review these to ensure these fulfil the requirement. A series of draft RequirementTechnical Standards (RTSs) have been published and a further set of requirements will be released across 2023/2024 which will also need to be reviewed and responded to by the Group. The RoleThe Senior Business Analyst will support the Group in completing Gap Analysis for the already published requirements and Requirement Technical Standards (RTSs) to be released; ensuring appropriate documentation and evidence is in place that will meet the DORArequirement- a DORA specialist resource will be sourced to provide validation that the requirement is met from a regulatory stand point. Note: the below responsibilities is not a complete list and there maybe further remediation activities identified throughout the project.

  • Working with the Group Requirement Owners to review/complete Gap Analysis, including the review and collation of the relevant documentation for each requirement.
  • Mapping requirements to existing Group control frameworks/policies where appropriate and uplifting these to meet EU specific requirements.
  • Review Gaps and ensure relevant action plans and documentation is in place to meet these gaps, uplifting where necessary for the EU entities.
  • Working closely with the DORA specialist resource to validate Gap Analysis and ensure regulatory coverage, and to address regulatory queries from Group/EU entities.
  • Provide regular progress updates to Project Manager.
  • Complete status reports and report to Steering Committee.
Key Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 5 years experience as a Business Analyst working on ICT related projects
  • Experience working on regulatory projects
  • Flexible approach, and able to balance varied workload and deadlines
  • Knowledge in IT Operational Resilience (desirable)
  • Excellent Excel skills and experience of manipulating large data sets
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills (i.e. collaboration with the Business/Group Requirement Owners on requirements/actions)
