The opportunityQBE is currently looking for a Business Analystto join QBEs Group Technology & Operations team and help drive our readiness to adopt both new regulatory requirements in the form of APRAs CPS 230 as well as a new global risk management platform. You will work within the policy framework uplift as well as platform implementation and will be responsible for a range of activities to support the broader project team. Activities will include but are not limited to;

  • Conducting business needs analysis and mapping key processes
  • Assist in the development of documentation in alignment within global and company policies and methodologies
  • Stakeholder engagement and management
  • Lead or deliver analysis activities - this includes running workshops with the business, stakeholders, and other project participants, this may be to gather requirements or conduct impact assessment alongside the Change team (people, process and/or technology).
  • Develop As-Is and To-Be process maps as well as Target Operating Model.
  • Elicit and document business and functional requirements.
  • Continuous review and assessment of solution delivery to ensure adherence to business requirements.
  • Supporting the project manager on the validation of test plans or creation of UAT plans, scripts, and approach.
  • Supporting the implementation phase of the project through application of domain knowledge as well as acting as a conduit between the business and technology delivery team.
  • Provide hands-on support for data migration activities including data mapping, data sourcing, transforming and loading into target system.
  • Ability to facilitate writing user stories

  • Previous experience conducting business needs analysis and mapping key processes within a regulatory environment
  • Stakeholder engagement and management skills
  • Ability to develop As-Is and To-Be process maps as well as Target Operating Models.
