Job Description

Biomedical Scientist -HaematologyLocation- Central LondonSalary - Competitive + Benefits (pension, health cover, flexible benefits and excellent career development)Hours: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week. We can also offer you support with relocation if you are living outside of London or the UK; subject to terms and conditions.Vacancy SummaryAs a Biomedical Scientist, you will perform the speedy and accurate processing of samples, validate results and to assist the Department Head/Deputy Head in Haematology as required. You will perform a high-quality analytical role, enabling the provisionof a comprehensive pathology service for laboratory users.

  • Expected to work in all areas of haematology including day to day running of the department, validation, document control, stock management, participation in the compilation of data required for various meetings and keeping maintenance records up to date.
  • Speedy and accurate processing of samples
  • Interpretation, validation and timely reporting of results
  • Ensure equipment are in good working order
  • Adhere to Health and Safety policies
  • Follow HCA policies and procedures
Skills & Experience
  • Degree-educated
  • MSc desirable
  • HCPC Registered
  • Member of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences
  • Fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences is desirable
  • Evidence of continual personal development
