Job Description

A rapidly growing Financial Services firm in London are seeking a Senior Assistant Company Secretary to join their team.The ideal candidate will have experience in the Investments space, however those with Banking or Financial Services will also be considered. This is a brand new role due to company growth.Key duties:

  • Developing and maintaining an effective governance structure
  • Providing input, support and advice for strategic decisions, policy making and the design and operation of the organisation whilst ensuring adequate standards of governance and compliance
  • Leading on producing the annual work plan for the Corporate Secretariat team, providing clarity on key areas of delivery and tracking progress through the year, as well as regular reporting to the Deputy Corporate Secretary
  • Providing technical governance advice and challenge to the Deputy Corporate Secretary and deputise at meetings where required
  • Experience:
  • Previous experience of working in a company secretary team supporting boards for a comparable and complex, high profile organisation (Ideally a financial services organisation)
  • Evidence of providing hands on support to technically complex meetings
  • The tenacity to cope with a high workload in a fast paced and challenging environment
  • The ability to think and operate at a strategic level
  • Highly developed relationship building and stakeholder influencing skills
  • ideally ICSA qualified (although not essential)
