The role involves supporting the team of Assessment officers in managing the caseloads, the consistency and accuracy of assessments, as well as managing a caseload of complex Assessment cases that require a holistic and multi-agency approach.As Senior Assessment Officer you will be required to liaise with other local housing providers, attend multi-agency meetings, forums and working groups as required.You will deputise the Assessment Team Leader when necessary and provide Senior officer support to the Housing Options Team.You must have excellent communication skills and have the confidence to manage our reception service (when open to the public), interview clients over the phone, in our office and in their own homes. You will need to make enquiries to establish and confirm clients circumstances and make decisions in accordance with the Housing Act (Wales) 2014 and Swanseas Allocations policy 2009 (amended 2013).You will need to be confident in the use of numerous IT systems, as we use databases and spreadsheets to access and maintain records.
