Job Description

Job Title Senior Application Development Engineer Location London Corporate Title Vice President Deutsche Bank are looking for a senior Java development lead to join our Enterprise Data Services Engineering team. You will be part of a dynamic cross-functional team that is responsible for shaping the future of our cutting-edge enterprise-wide data managementapplication. You will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of Java-based server-side application services, and fully utilise your development and leadership skills on your daily work. Your key responsibilities
  • Design and implement high-performance, scalable, and reliable Java application services
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features
  • Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and actively contribute to a collaborative coding environment
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring optimal performance of applications.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements to continually enhance our development practices
  • Lead efforts in code refactoring, system optimization, and performance tuning
Your skills and experience
  • Extensive experience in Java development with a deep understanding of core concepts and solid knowledge of Spring Framework, and other relevant frameworks with experience working in an Agile development environment
  • Proficient in web services development (RESTful, SOAP) and microservices architecture
  • Strong experience with Relational and NoSQL database management system; proficient with GIT or other version control systems
  • Proven ability to analyse and solve complex technical problems efficiently
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills; previous experience mentoring junior developers; ability to adapt to evolving technologies and stay current with industry trends; ability to cooperate and collaborate across teams
