Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Application Analyst based in London who will support all applications pertaining to the National Customer Services Centre, including operational, business as usual and Counter-Terrorism Police project tasks. This is perfect fora candidate looking to take up a role in an essential sector of our community that plays a vital role in making a difference in the security of the UK. Your skills could help protect the UK.Job title: Senior Application Analyst - Counter TerrorismSalary: £500per day inside IR35Location: Southwest London - hybrid - travel across UK sites involvedStart: ASAP*holding active security clearance is requiredCriteria:

  • Educated to degree level or have equivalent experience in a software development or support environment.
  • Understanding of application design & development, including agile methodologies, application and database design, and infrastructure technologies.
  • Strong experience writing and executing complex SQL queries and familiarity with stored procedures, views, functions, and SQL jobs for Microsoft SQL databases.
  • Experienced in monitoring components such as web servers, applications servers, log files, disk space and MS-SQL databases
  • Experienced in maintaining middleware such as IIS, MS-SQL Server, Active Directory, ASP and . NET.
  • Writing reports using tools such as PowerShell, JavaScript, HTML and SQL
  • Previous experience working in government organisations, security agencies or policing will be beneficial.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing Application Support at a senior level
  • A point of escalation for all Application related issues.
  • Outlining and implementing an ITIL-aligned Application Management strategy.
  • Assisting in the continuous development of the Applications and Data Team.
  • Providing best practices to support national applications (incidents, service requests, problems, and changes).
  • Being an SME for the application estate and the underlying technologies.
  • Mentoring and aiding the learning pathways of Application Analysts
  • Report writing
