Job Description

Senior Acoustic ConsultantLocation: LondonSalary: £30,000+Our client is a well-known multi-disciplinary Environmental & Engineering Consultancy. The firm is seeking to hire a Senior Acoustician to join their rapidly growing team in the London office! This is a rare opportunity where you will have the opportunityto work in a variety of sectors including Infrastructure, renewables, mining, mixed-use schemes, residential, commercial, education and many more. Due to the nature of the company, they provide a range of acoustical services including building & architecturaland environmental acoustics; candidates with a background in either can be considered!Candidate requirements:

  • Youll have attained an Honours or Masters in Acoustical Engineering, or another relevant discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience working for a UK consultancy.
  • Hold a full UK driving license.
  • Full membership of the Institute of Acoustics (IOA) is favourable.
Candidates should be experienced in:
  • Noise & vibration surveys / assessments.
  • Familiar with British Standards including BS4142, BB93 & other industrial regulations and documents.
  • Noise modelling (CadnaA, Noisemap, ODEON).
  • Writing of technical reports.
  • Noise impact assessments.
Daily duties will include:
  • Delivering acoustical projects unassisted.
  • Mentoring of junior consultants.
  • Assist in business development duties.
  • Liaising with clients, local authorities and engineers throughout projects.
  • Prepare fee proposals and project budgets.
  • Acoustic modelling.
