Job Description

Senior Account Manager - Pet CareTemp contract -- 6 Months - Full-timeSalary Day Rate: £290 HybridPet care company is seeking an Account Manager who can boost the sales of their non-food pet care health products. They require someone to focus on business-to-business sales. It is preferable that the ideal candidate has pet care experience and possessescore competencies such as taking responsibility for the role, being proactive in getting the products into pet retailers, and being agile.The main responsibilities include:The main objective of this position is to drive sales and expand the retail channel. It would be advantageous if the candidate has experience working with companies like Zoo plus or Pets at Home. Additionally, the company wants the account manager to explorenew avenues, such as working directly with vet practices as a sales channel.

  • Identify, target, and acquire new business
  • The target markets include specialist pet retailers, independent retailers, and veterinarians.
  • take charge of new business accounts and guide them through the onboarding process.
  • Responsible for implementing quarterly sales plans to accomplish the companys goals and objectives.
  • Create sales forecasts and provide regular updates on sales performance.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with important buyers and business partners to expedite the growth of the companys existing list of retail accounts.
  • Attend key events to market products and drive sales, as well as to draw in new business opportunities.
Key skills and experience required:
  • 3 years of commercial sales experience, preferably in the pet care, veterinary, or human healthcare industry.
  • proven track record of acquiring new business and cultivating relationships to generate significant sales.
  • highly motivated, proactive, and results-driven, with a willingness to learn new skills and build relationships
  • comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where change is frequent.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills are essential, and proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and Slack is a must.
