Job Description

SEN Subject TeacherDaily Rate: Paid to scaleLocation: - SE12Contract Type: temp to permStart Date: ImmediateDuration: Full TimeThe school is currently recruiting for English & Maths teachersThe successful applicants will have:

  • Previous experience working with Learning Difficulties, SEMH, EBD, Dyslexia.
  • Previous experience managing Challenging/Confrontational Behaviour.
  • Strong behaviour management skills - positive behaviour reinforcement.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with students, staff and parents/careers.
  • Valid and Enhanced Child or Child and Adult DBS check registered on the update service (or willing to process a new one).
The role will consist of:
  • Planning, preparing and delivering lessons
  • Teaching to a class of varying learning levels & abilities
  • Work closely with students, their parents/careers and other members of staff to make sure that the students are happy and learning well
  • Adapting the syllabus according to the individual students EHCP
  • Make appropriate use of a range of monitoring and assessment strategies to evaluate pupils progress
