MSI (Multi- Sensory Impairment) Residential Support WorkerSouth West LondonASAP StartTime Plan Education are pleased to be working with a special needs school in South West London. They are recruiting an experienced MSI (Multi-Sensory Impaired) residential support worker to start ASAP, on an ongoing basis. The shortlisted candidate willbe required to work 3.30pm - 8pm Monday - Thursday.This outstanding multi-cultural school caters for a diverse group of 10-19-year-olds, providing encouragement and a positive learning environment. Students have hearing impairments, coupled with other needs such as speech and language difficulties, ASD,SLD and SEMH.The successful candidate will join the schools residential service, which plays an integral part at the school. You will provide support for a deaf/blind student with their social and emotional wellbeing.The school requires a skilled individual who ideally has a BSL Level 2 qualification, or strong working knowledge of Makaton. Previous experience of administering medication is desirable, but for the right candidate, the school is open to offering training.You must have previous experience working with children or young adults with a hearing and visual impairment, ideally within a school or college setting. You will be required to support exchange and communication, while also providing academic and emotionalsupport. Experience with specialist resources, technology and learning materials is desirable.
