Job Description

SEN TutorSEN SchoolKensington and Chelsea, LondonLong-Term, Full-TimeJanuary 2023 Start£160-£220 per dayASEN school in Kensington and Chelseais looking for aSpecial Needs Tutor (SEN Tutor)to join their well-structured setting. As aSpecial Needs Tutor (SEN Tutor)you will be working 1:1 with a pupil whohas autism (ASD), dyslexia, communication (SLCN) and mental health (SEMH) challenges. The pupil is very quiet and anxious about being in a school setting, so they will respond well to a calm, nurturing and supportive approach. You will have the opportunity to support them both in class as well as outside the classroom with targetedinterventions, especially for literacy and numeracy.

  • £160-£220 per day (dependent on experience and qualifications)
  • Long-term, full-time
  • Great transport links and parking available
  • Support from SENDCo and pastoral team
The successfulSEN Tutorwill have:
  • Calm approach to supporting pupils
  • Flexibility to adapt to different learning styles and the ability to nurture positive relationships
  • Good SEN knowledge and experience, especially with SEN such as autism (ASD), dyslexia, communication (SLCN) and mental health (SEMH) challenges
  • A valid Enhanced DBS
  • Good references
