Job Description

A rewarding opportunity has opened up at our esteemed client school in Walthamstow for a dedicated and flexible Full-Time Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant. Join our dynamic team in the secondary SEN department, where youll work closely with studentsexhibiting a range of needs, including Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH), Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and challenging behaviours.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other professionals to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
  • Foster a supportive and nurturing atmosphere that encourages the academic and social development of students.
Requirements:
  • No specific qualifications required; a compassionate and caring attitude is essential.
  • Relevant experience working with individuals with special needs is advantageous.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different classrooms as needed.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Commitment to the academic and personal development of students with special needs.
