SEN Teachers (SEMH - Core Subjects)MertonASAP STARTTime Plan Education are pleased to be working with a special needs school in Merton. They are recruiting several teachers of core subjects to start ASAP. These are full-time positions for the remainder of the academic year, via the agency.The school caters for 180 pupils aged 11-19 years old across multiple sites, with EHCPs for SEMH, ASD, social and communication difficulties and moderate learning difficulties. As well as a varied curriculum, they also offer a range of therapies and extra-curricularactivities.The selected applicants will have previous SEN experience, especially with SEMH and associated needs. They are looking for subject specialists in English, Maths and Science.Shortlisted candidates must have proven experience in the UK. Ideally you will have experience within an alternative provision, however the school will consider candidates from a mainstream background. Classes generally have 4-6 students, with 1-3 teachingassistants depending on the class needs. Classes are mixed ability; therefore, it is imperative you are confident planning inclusive, individualised lessons. You will also be responsible for carrying out assessments and reporting progress to SLT.For candidates who commit, the school can offer excellent rates of pay, as well as a friendly and stable working environment.The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.
