Job Description

SEN Support WorkerWandsworthASAP startTimeplan is currently working with a large all through SEN school in Wandsworth, who are recruiting several specialist support workers to start in May 2021. All positions are full time, ongoing.This outstanding multi-cultural school caters for a diverse group of 2-19-year-olds, providing encouragement and a positive learning environment. Students have a range of needs including visual impairments, hearing impairments, PMLD and complex needs. The schools area of expertise is a focus on sensory and physical disabilities, and they offer both pupils and staff all the right resources to succeed.The shortlisted candidates must have experience supporting children with SEN. You will work 1:1 and with small groups. As well as supporting students academically, you will also work to develop self-confidence and improve independence. Experience with audio technology, such as Jolly Phonics would be advantageous. As well as working with the class teacher, you will also work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team.In return the school can offer a forward thinking and stable working environment.To apply for this role, you must have:

  • Experience with VI, HI and PMLD
  • A current DBS, ideally on the update service
  • Full time availability
