Job Description

Job Title: Primary School Teacher (KS1 and KS2)Daily Rate: Paid to ScaleLocation: LewishamDuration: Monday - FridayThere are 2 positions available - PPA Teacher (immediate start) and Primary Class Teacher (January 2024 start). The school specialises in supporting children with a variety of SEN, but mostly Autism or Speech and Communication difficulties.Both roles have the potential to continue until the end of the academic year (July 2024).Teacher Vacancies:

  • Primary Class Teacher
  • PPA Teacher (Reception - year 6)
The successful teacher will have:
  • Experience working in primary school (key stage 1 and key stage 2)
  • QTS or equivalent
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging yet entertaining lessons
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff, parents and students
  • supporting a class size of 9 students
The role will consist of:
  • Implementing and delivering an appropriately broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum for students
  • Work closely with students, their parents/careers and other members of staff to make sure that the students are happy and learning well
  • Adapting the syllabus according to the individual students EHC plan
  • Make appropriate use of a range of monitoring and assessment strategies to evaluate pupils progress
*This school is specifically looking for individuals who have experience in primary schools, with any experience of Makaton, PECs, Soundswrite an added bonus.*TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
