Job Description

An exciting opportunity has emerged at our esteemed client school in Walthamstow for a dedicated and adaptable Full-Time Special Education Needs Teaching Assistant. Join our vibrant team in the primary SEN department, where youll be an integral part ofnurturing and supporting students with diverse needs, including Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH), Autism, Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), and challenging behaviours.Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualised and group support to primary-aged students with diverse learning needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers and specialists to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Assist in the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies tailored for younger learners.
  • Foster a caring and supportive atmosphere that encourages the academic and social development of primary-aged students.
Requirements:
  • No specific qualifications required; a compassionate and nurturing demeanour is essential.
  • Prior experience working with young learners with special needs is advantageous.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work across various primary classrooms.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Dedication to the academic and personal development of primary-aged students with special needs.
