Job Description

Semantics and Knowledge Graphs Lead/ Managing ConsultantUp to £180,000 + bonus (up to 40%)LondonAre you a Senior/ Experienced Consultant with extensive knowledge in Semantics and Knowledge Graphs looking to develop and lead an entire business areaTHE COMPANY:As a Managing Consultant, you will work for a global consultancy in the Data Specialist team. You will be leading the strategy and team that focuses on Semantics and Knowledge Graphs. The consultancy mainly works on projects in the Financial Services with Hedge Funds, Trading Companies and Tier 1 banks. They are transforming into a leading digital company.THE ROLE:The role of Managing Consultant involves working closely with clients, developing strategy and managing a team/ business area.In specific, you can expect to be involved in the following:

  • You will be interacting with Data Science/ Data Engineering stakeholders and managers
  • You will be leading projects for both business areas
  • You will be leading the Semantics Business Unit and be the expert on Semantic Graph Data Bases
  • You will be line managing around 5 people and be the technical lead for larger groups, depending on the project
  • You will focus on the architecture and strategy around this business area
  • You will not need to be hands on, but will have to have an in depth knowledge of the fundamentals in this area
  • You will be building out the business unit and working in business development and pre-sales for various client projects
    • YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:The successful Managing Consultant will have the following skills and experience:
  • Educated to degree level in a relevant disciple (Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics etc)
  • Extensive experience with Semantic Graph Data Bases
  • Experience with Neo4J, Stardogg, SQL
  • Experience working in a consultancy role and managing a team
  • Ideally experience growing a team/ unique business unit
