Position:Self Employed Swimming Teacher Location: Bromley, Beckenham, Biggin Hill, Orpington and West Wickham Salary: £12.50 - £22.50 p.h Plus Benefits Job Type: Self Employed Key duties To ensure an enjoyable and efficient delivery of the Learn to SwimProgramme (L2S), teaching to a wide range of ages and abilities and encourage them to maintain participation and progression through effective planning, organisation and coaching To have a clear understanding of the L2S programme, expected standards requiredand deliver sessions based on consistency and quality To ensure that participants achieve all the outcomes at each individual stage, regularly assess each participants ability and development and trigger movements of all participants who are ready to progressup To sign-out ipod before commencing swimming session and sign-in ipod at the end of the swimming session To constantly update, manage and complete the registers, if necessary highlighting any issues or concerns to reception i.e. direct debit payments, participantattended but not on register etc To take reasonable care of any equipment issued by Mytime Active (MTA), ensure it is used correctly, operated within health and safety guidelines and report any faults or maintenance issues to reception To ensure all customer/parent/guardian(s)who have queries or wish to make a complaint are directed to reception To proactively contribute to future L2S developments or improvements, feedback to swimming coordinator, via reception if necessary, on any concerns or changes that affect the L2S programmeTo be responsible for, and promote through L2S programme, the good conduct and safe use by all participants whilst they are on the pool surround and in the water. This will also include rules that may be indicated within the pool normal operating proceduresTo take reasonable care of your personal, other employees and participants health and safety and cooperate with management so far as necessary to enable compliance with MTAs health and safety rules and legislative requirements To be aware of and abide to allMTA policies and procedures Demonstrate and promote commitment to MTAs values and objectives To follow and promote MTAs Safeguarding policies and procedures and report any child protection matters to the designated safeguarding lead To attend MTA workforcedevelopment sessions, on occasion out-side your normal hours of work to ensure your health and safety, safeguarding and your continuous personal development To adhere and take part in any workforce development requirements, team meetings, performance reviewsor other meetings, on occasions out-side your normal working hours, which is consistent with current and future business needs and which meets any relevant legislative standards To carry out, as may be required, any other duties, including administrative duties,commensurate with the responsibility of the post, as directed by the Swimming Coordinator. As a Swimming Instructor, you will need to demonstrate significant work experience within the swimming pool environment and hold an ASA or Swim England Level 2 SwimmingTeacher qualification. You will ideally hold a NRASTC or NPLQ qualification or be willing to undertake the qualification. Other qualifications such as Adult and Baby, Stage 8-10 or other aquatic disciplines would be very desirable. Please note that the swimmingterm is 50 weeks a year.
