Job Description

Our client are a leading London trading and clearing house looking for a security engineer to join them within the cyber security team. Our client maintain critical national infrastructure and you will be responsible for engineering and maintaining an effectiveand modern cyber security solution that ensures operational resilience.Responsiblities:

  • Perform day to day activities with the security engineering team to ensure service levels are maintained;
  • Implement security services and practices to ensure business and technical requirements are met;
  • Manage security tools and technical platforms;
  • Ensure that the Security Engineering function are able to evidence relevant audit, regulatory and compliance requirements;
Key Skills and requirements:
  • Minimum 4+ years as a security engineer or in a DevOps environment;
  • Possess Professionalsecurity qualificationssuch as (but not limited to) CEH, CCNP, CISSP, GIAC (GSEC/GCIH/GCIA);
  • Experienceworking within financial services, ideally within an exchange or payment environment;
  • Hands on experience with scripting and automation tools such as Python, Powershell or similar;
  • Experience working with build and pipeline technologies such as Ansible, Atlassian stack or equivalent;
  • Knowledge of Restful API, network and configuration protocols and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, JSON, YAML);
  • Able to balance business and technical requirements to deliver effective solution;
  • Confident communicator and able to explain security concepts to technical audiences.
