Job Description

An exciting new opourtunity to join a brilliant client of ours.The client is looking for a new member of their team with the skills or an understanding of the skills listed below:

  1. SAP Last Mile Distribution / Advanced Transportation Management
  2. Note: experience of Basic SAP transportation management is not enough. Needs to know Advanced
  3. Business application consultant, not a developer
  4. Working on SAP distribution / transportation and similar related technologies in this area for over 5 years.
  5. SAP mDSD experience is relevant (if it includes settlement and journey scheduling)
  6. Additional SAP LE and SD previous experience is useful. LE is logistics execution. 5 to 10 years additional to 5 years distribution experience
  7. Experience of other transportation management solutions useful in that 5 years such as osapiens or JDA / Blueyonder / Manhattan. Note: JDA and Manhatten have a full suite of tech so her/his experience has to be the transportation / distribution area (pleasecheck in other words)
  8. Able to articulate and understand and even shape different transportation networks (distributors, 3PLs, 4PLs, trucks within cities, bulk delivery, VMI etc)
  9. Experience in designing and building IT business solutions for
    1. Fleet management and scheduling (including sub-con fleets
    2. Journey scheduling
    3. Route planning and optimiser based planning
    4. Load management
    5. End of journey settlement - deliveries, payment (cash receipts), returns - updating core ERP
  10. Experience of how to lead discussions on the expected integrations such as mapping products and EWM
  11. Or Retail or distributor experience
  12. Able to present in workshops, or failing that to coach in workshops
