You will work in a team that may develop solutions across all our current technology platforms including our bespoke back-office system, online insurance trading platform and a new dynamic document management system.The Scrum Master is a challenging role as it is the guardian of the Scrum team, the person who resolves impediments for the team and controls the Scrum process. The facilitator of Scrum ceremonies (daily scrum, sprint planning, demos, etc.), the mediator who resolves conflicts and coaches/mentors the organisation in agile practices.Key responsibilities & accountabilities

  • Facilitate the team for better creativity and tries to improve the efficiency of the development team.
  • Responsible for managing the scrum process with the coordination of scrum team in Agile
  • methodology.
  • Responsible to remove the impediments for the scrum team.
  • Arrange daily stand-up meetings, facilitate meetings, schedule meetings, demo and
  • decision-making processes in order to ensure quick inspection and proper use of
  • adaptation process.
  • Helps product owner to make the product backlogs in good shape and make them ready
  • for the next sprint.
  • Responsible to Conduct retrospective meetings.
  • Organizes and facilitates the sprint planning meeting.
  • Acts as safeguard for their team.
  • Skills & Ability
  • Knowledge of agile methodology and frameworks like Scrum, Kanban, XP, etc.
  • Coaching skills so that you can coach the team on how to follow agile scrum.
  • Understand the fundamentals of iterative and incremental development.
  • Strong knowledge of Scrum theory, rules and practices.
  • Basic knowledge of software development life cycles and procedures, so that you can
  • understand your team’s needs.
  • You should have knowledge of Agile techniques like: User Stories, Continuous
  • Integration, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile
  • Games.
  • You must know about the value of metrics and incremental delivery.
  • Knowledge about tasks, backlog tracking, burndown metrics, velocity, user stories etc.
  • Knowledge & Experience
  • Extensive experience in playing the Scrum Master role
  • You must have demonstrable experience with story writing and be able to explain other agile approaches such as ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
