Their clients include a long list of major investment banks and offer the chance to work at these institutions without the associated red tape, endless paperwork and less hours.They are looking for talented Scala Engineers to join their talented team for a long term project. They specialise in high performance, high volume trade and risk systems on microservice architecture-based systems Scala and Java. You will get to work with Spark to solve problems around Big Data using Python, Hadoop, and HBase. For Database solutions they use the best tool for the job but mostly use Oracle Exadata, Graph databases (TitanDB, Couchbase & Neo4J), Cassandra and MongoDB.They offer competitive salaries, a discretionary bonus, a flexible holiday scheme (with bonus on offer) and many more.Essential requirements:• At least 3 years commercial development experience• Strong Java and Scala experience (at least 1 year of commercial Scala)• Experience in Big Data and Apache Spark• Computer Science Degree from a reputable university• Interest/experience in working at a consultancy or in a client facing role• Experience working in finance is also a plus
