Our expertise includes the delivery of some of the worlds best sporting content with our official FastPath Data feeds, Live Streaming service, Event Centres, and Virtual Sports products, in closepartnership with a diverse range of international sports federations and associations including the ATP, MLS, PGA, European Tour, NHL, UFC, EFL and others.Next-generation sports entertainment.*About the role:*IMG ARENA are looking to make a key appointment,Lead Developer (Data); in this role you will work collaboratively with other teams, from development to business stakeholders, with the responsibility of designing, implementing and maintaining standards, processes and methodologies for establishing and growingour internal data capability.You will be tasked with ensuring adherence to security, best practice and corporate standards for all application development, deployment and testing practices. You will design, prototype, and implement low-latency and highly reliablesports data applications using agile development processes.*Responsibilities:** Line manage and mentor a team of Scala developers* Lead projects and design applications based on requirements from stakeholders with a focus on low latency, availability, qualityand scalability* Contribute to future design/architecture solutions that directly impact the enterprise* Work together with the rest of the IMG ARENA and other internal/external partners to define and build new products and features* Participate in design/architecturesessions and contribute to the technical direction of the team and department* Implement new products and features according to their acceptance criteria, as well as maintaining and improving the existing features/codebase* Help define, maintain and improveways of working*Requirements:** Experience in a technical leadership role* Professional software development experience in Scala with a strong bias for quality and engineering excellence* Significant experience developing with multiple JVM technologies/ libraries(e.g. Akka, Hazelcast, etc.)* Demonstrate in-depth knowledge and expertise in microservice architecture and developing Scala applications with AKKA* Strong experience with relational databases, ideally Postgres* Experience working with, and deploying to, cloudservices (especially AWS)* Knowledge of working with build pipelines and continuous deployment models* Experience in building globally scalable software architecture* Great design and problem-solving skills, with demonstrable experience in building simpleimplementations to complex problems and object-oriented design* Knowledge and experience in developing web services that are robust and easily consumed* Sound API design skills and knowledge of HTTP principles* Experience of working in a large scale b2b organisation*Approachable and a strong communicator* Interest in start-up culture & being involved with a dynamic & growing team* Passion for sport is a bonus!***Technologies we use:** Scala* SQL (PostgreSQL)* Akka (Akka HTTP, Akka Streams)* Messaging brokers; rabbitMQ,Kakfa* Docker, Kubernetes* AWS instance management and deployment* Linux, shell scripting* CI/CD; Jenkins/GitLab/GitHubLove Sports Like the sound of the role look forward to receiving you application.-* Life Insurance* Pension* Private Medical Insurance*Income Protection* Season Ticket Loan* Dental Insurance* Cycle To Work* Eye Care* Will Writing* Give As You Earn* Employee Assistance Programme* Wellness* Gym Membership* 1st stage interview* Coding Test & Interview* Final InterviewJenkins, AWS, ScalaScala,PostgreSQL, SQL, Akka, AWS, Kubernetes
