Through our own stores and our partner jeweler locations, our beautiful diamonds and jewellery designs bring joy and meaning to lovers of diamonds all around the world.The Opportunity:You will join a high- profile programme involving SAP migration project from ECC to S/4 where you will be responsible for making sure process governance and deliverables of data are being managed effectively by working with Data & the wider business.This will be a fast- paced role which requires someone who is comfortable working in challenging/high pressure environments. You will be expected to work according to Canadian time zones as well as partners in Australia & India so your ability to be flexibleis key!Key deliverables/responsibilities:

• Data facilitation: The data lead will facilitate and co-ordinate data activities across business data owners in the business (data preparation, data cleansing and data migration activities).
• Data execution: The data lead will help create and populate templates, correct errors, help reconcile, help resolve mapping issues, help with cleansing. Data tasks are primarily executed by the BU data owners but hands on assistance will be required.
• Data task driver: The data lead must assess the data volumes, segregate the data objects and volumes into manageable tasks and targets for business data owners to deliver against weekly/monthly/per mock targets (cleansing and data migration).
• Plan management: Work with and support the BU and Core Project manager to ensure comprehensive data plans are created (migration, cleansing, extraction, transform and load) and tracked with delays escalated timeously.
• Data vendor alignment: De Beers uses a data vendor for extract and transform and a systems integrator for definition of the target data object to support the S/4 solution. The target data object needs to be provided to the extract and transform vendorand the process of mapping/validation (auto extracts/transform) and manual data collection need to be aligned across the vendors and the business staff driving targets as per the project plan for the BU.
• Manage dependencies and ensure tech stream alignment on these initiatives. Escalate conflicts to the project & IM management.

Experience:

• 5 years SAP data migration experience
• Experience in a lead data migration role
• Preferably S/4 data migration experience (but not essential)
• Experience in working across project and across culture and geographies (role is remote)
• Experience, ability, and willingness to execute data tasks as well as to manage the data tasks on an SAP migration project from ECC to S/4
