Job Description

Our client, a global investment bank, is actively seeking a Sanctions AVP to join their collaborative team in London. The chosen candidate will be responsible for assisting the business holistically with the Sanctions compliance programme. This is a brilliantopportunity for a Sanctions specialist to join a very well-respected firm in dynamic role.Responsibilities:

  • As Sanctions AVP, you will work with the EMEA region in complying with applicable financial and trade sanctions as well as meeting regulatory requirements / expectations.
  • Assist the provision of sanctions training to key stakeholders to ensure they understand and comply with the Banks requirements.
  • Provide support to the holistic Sanctions compliance programme, where required.
  • Escalate effectively to the EMEA Head/Deputy Head of Sanctions Advisory, any other matters that require further guidance.
  • Assist the sanctions functions on strategic project initiatives to the Sanctions compliance program in EMEA.
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated understanding of key sanctions regimes / financial crime.
  • Inquisitive, motivated, and highly trustworthy with an ability to work with the minimum of direct supervision, experienced in dealing with highly confidential material.
  • Experience in a similar Sanctions AVP role previously within financial services.
  • Have the ability to independently understand multiple strands of data and documentation.
  • Strong analytical skills, capable of making logical assessments based upon factual data.
