Job Description

We are now seeking to appoint an experienced Senior Developer with proven experience in real time application development across the full stack.The candidate should have excellent skills in system architecture / design, development of back-end services, APIs and GUIs and having good knowledge of the FX business is an advantage.Client Details

  • At least 8 years software development experience ideally with a recent focus on delivering web based applications
  • Solid experience with server side C# and WPF
  • Experience designing and implementing RESTful web services using Java, .NET Framework/Core (C#), Python or NodeJS
  • Experience integrating with, selecting, and designing data stores using both SQL and NoSQL technologies - MS SQL, Oracle, MongoDB or Redis.
  • Understanding of performance implications when making design decisions to deliver performant and maintainable software.
  • Solid experience with multithreaded architectures and optimised UIs
  • Understanding of application security requirements.
  • Familiarity with writing and validating Unit and Integration tests using standard testing frameworks.
  • Ability and willingness to learn quickly and adapt to a fast changing environment, with a strong interest in continuous improvement and delivery, identifying and suggesting areas for improvement.
  • Excellent knowledge of programming best practices, design patterns etc
Description
  • Play an active role in the definition of the architecture and design within the team
  • Contribute / make decisions on technology and tools whilst following the appropriate standards
  • Participate in an agile based software development life-cycle including technical analysis, documentation, development, testing and code reviews
  • Mentor and direct developers in the team through pair programming and code review to ensure best development and architecture practice
  • Fully participate in requirement and design meetings for new functionality.
  • Collaborate with the production support team for release and maintenance of the components and coordinating in troubleshooting and infrastructure issues
Profile
  • Solid experience with server side C# or Java (ideally Java 8) development and RX
  • Solid experience in web technology using JavaScript, React and/or AngularJS.
  • Solid experience with web based applications and restful APIs, e.g. using WebAPI or NancyFX.
  • Solid experience with multithreaded architectures and optimised UIs
  • Solid experience with relational databases and SQL knowledge
  • Experience in HTML5/Javascript Single page application development.
Job Offer6 month contract between £550 - £700 a day INSIDE IR35
