Citibank IPB EMEA & UK Consumer is a preferred wealth management centre for Citi clients, residing in various countries such as UK, Russia, Greece, UAE, and others. Robust risk and control management is an essential and integral part of our business. Giventhat a range of risk and control activities in the Consumer Bank are performed within various parts of the business, it is important for us to ensure effective coordination and a strong level of consistency across the Consumer Banking business groups and functions.This role is key in ensuring the Consumer Business effectively manages its Operational Risks. Job Purpose:

• To support the Head of GCB UK Sales Surveillance & Training with the control environment, policies and processes within the business relating to Retail, Investment and Insurance Sales and Surveillance, and meeting Global Policies and Regulatory requirements
• Executes robust controls and monitoring in the business to improve the sales quality across all the functions
• Supports the Training and Competence oversight of the sales function

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete monitoring of local language/non-English sales transactions (e.g. Russian, Greek etc)
• Assist with the management of mandatory and non-mandatory training budgets.
• Perform OWS reviews.
• Perform reviews of email surveillance programme alerts.
• Maintaining records of rule breaches and ensuring appropriate plans are in place to prevent reoccurrence
• Ensuring Treating Customers Fairly principles are fully embedded as a core principle
• Ensuring the maintenance of records and evidence to demonstrate compliance with Training and Competence Policy
• MIS report requests and liaising on all data requirements with the Decision Management Team (DMT)
• Coordinate client investment and insurance surveys
• Record Management Coordination
• Maintaining the Certified Person list for CUKL.
• Perform Overdue Training reporting
• Invigilate closed book examinations that are taken in-house by Sales staff.
• Assist on the application tracking and monitoring of CPD and SPS.
• Working with Fitch Learning and the CISI on exam booking and CISI membership.
• Ensuring all new hires adhere to the new Hire regional training and certification as well as all MiFID requirements.
• Organise and track completion of the new starter training.
• Responsible for maintaining the authorisation list.
• LMS administrator

Knowledge/Experience:

• Must have demonstrated success in Control management, a proven track record, incorporating an investment and insurance products and operations background within a financial services company.
• Fluent Turkish language skills
• Previous working experience or equivalent auditing / project experience on Sales, Operations, Investment and Compliance is an asset.
• A good understanding of Retail Wealth Management products, particularly investments products.
• A good understanding of Financial Conduct Authorities handbooks particularly Training and Competence and Conduct of Business Sourcebook
• Experience in a supervisory or management capacity with a strong control and coordination skill is key
• Knowledge of back-office or branch operations / or audit experience
• Strong proactive and strategic mentality
• Relevant Business Degree or equivalent is highly desirable
