This is a great opportunity for a Sales Engineer (or technical head with customer facing skills) carrier service provider, Telco vendors or systems integrator experience to act as a technology advisor and technical lead for all carrier-based for Wholesale / Carrier engagements on behalf of a global Nasdaq Internet and data network service provider. Good all-round technical knowledge with data IP networking (Ethernet Transport over MPLS, MPLS-TP, SDN etc). Home working / Central London. Circa £45k basic plus bonus and benefits.The Sales Solution Engineer is a key technical sales supporting role acting as both as a technology advisor and as the technical lead for all technical design engagements. This person primarily supports the Telecoms Carrier Wholesale sales organisation as the technical point of contact for all customer facing client engagement and works alongside the sales account management team, based in central London.Job Responsibilities for the Sales Solution Engineer include:* Opportunity technical qualification * High level solution design including underlying technical architecture and service definition.* Technical and product leadership* Building a solution cost model* Make the technical case and able to present and support that case as a preferred solutionThe Sales Engineer should have three or more key skills in the following:* Client facing experience within telecommunication transmission networks including sub-sea cable systems and their technical attributes.* Good all-round technical knowledge with data IP networking, Ethernet Transport over MPLS, MPLS-TP, Metro Ethernet, and Ethernet Radio Links.* SDN including SD-WAN architecture and deployments with vendor exposure to Cisco/Viptela, Versa, Silverpeak and uCPE vendors such as Advantech and Silcom.* Cisco CCNA or CCDA in traditional and virtual routing and switching * Datacenter architecture including physical Co-location, cabling, power, and cooling.* Virtual hosting IaaS and security related technologies for data centers and public cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, GCC)In return you will receive a competitive salary of circa £45k depending upon experience plus excellent benefits including annual bonus, 11% non-contribution pension, family healthcare with Vitality and 4 x income protection life insurance.If you are a Sales Engineer (or technical head with customer facing skills) with a strong prior working knowledge of either European carrier service provider, Telco vendors or of systems integrator looking for a role where you can enhance both new and existing customer experiences, then apply now or contact Andrew Medhurst at Inspire People on in the strictest confidence for further information.Inspire People is an employment agency providing services to candidates and clients."Sales Engineer", "Pre Sales", Wholesale, Carrier, Ethernet, SDN, SD-WAN, Co-location, Datacenter, MPLS Required skills
