Currently in an advanced stage of development, these solutions will unify the TalentLens, Faethm and Credly businesses.With roots going back to 1921, Pearson TalentLens has a rich history of delivering psychological assessments and is a global organization. Our portfolio of assessments includes well known tests such as the Watson Glaser Critical Thinking Appraisal and RavensProgressive Matrices. Our clients range from independent consultants to FTSE 100 companies, who are using our assessments for recruitment and development. We have several really exciting new product launches taking place now, so this truly is a great timeto join us!About the jobReporting directly to the EMEA Sales Director, the Sales Development Representative will play a central role in driving growth.Resilient, innovative and commercially minded, the Sales Development Representative will initially generate and qualify leads across all applicable market sectors. You will leverage your demonstrable BDR/SDR experience to drive and grow revenue opportunities.You will strategically research the market, to understand customer needs and competitor capabilities, coupled with being provided with lists of sectors and personas to approach.You will be motivated by generating business opportunities. This will be through your own personal prospecting (you will be highly conversant in social selling), and via Sales and Marketing led campaigns.Once embedded within the team and successful at generating leads, the role will grow in scope to seeing mid range opportunities through to Closed Won.We are looking for an enthusiastic, collaborative and self-motivated individual to join our team to greatly contribute to the growth and market share of the TalentLens portfolio across the UK and beyond.The role is Hybrid, with Pearsons Head Office at 80 Strand, London ideally being your base for 1-2 days per week.About YouYoull be commercially-minded and possess the following experience and qualities:Essential
  • Resilient, tenacious with a hell yeah! attitude to new challenges and change.
  • 2+ years sales experience, working with SME - blue chip organisations at mid-senior level.
  • New business development experience with strong social selling / networking skills.
  • Skilled at using Salesforce - Pipeline management ability.
  • Strong communication skills, able to present to groups, prepare robust proposals, and work on a 1:1 basis with prospective customers to develop compelling business cases.
  • Comfortable working with data and able to demonstrate systems fluently
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Collaborative with consultative people skills to develop new relationships.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and your own personal development.
  • Right to work in the UK.
Highly Desirable
  • Live HR decision maker contacts within any of the Finance, Legal, Insurance, Professional Services, Security or Public sectors a massive plus.
Desirable
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) is desirable but you must be a strategic thinker with key account management experience and ability to solve problems quickly - Its not about what you know, its about the decisions you make.
