Job Description

Asia Sales Administrator - Mandarin & English speakingWe are working with a successful gift brand who supply their iconic products to leading retailers globally. Due to company growth they are looking for a Asia Sales Administrator who speaks both fluent English & Mandarin to join their International SalesTeam looking after their wholesale / trade accounts.Reporting into the Asia Account Manager, you will support their Asia wholesale account base covering China, Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Korea, providing the highest level of service to your customers. The successful candidate will love speaking on the phone,have a calm and friendly approach, and be able to resolve customer queries with confidence and intuition.The successful candidate will have a positive outlook, be flexible, be an excellent communicator, and be keen to start a career within a wholesale environment with this great business.Duties as Asia Sales Administrator - Mandarin & English speaking will include:

  • Supporting Asia trade / wholesale customers in a sales administrator capacity
  • Taking sales orders over the phone and via email, advising stock availability, and proposing alternatives if applicable to maximise sales opportunities, speaking in Mandarin or English as necessary
  • Entering sales orders on to the system, creating orders and shipping confirmations
  • Answering customer queries such as credit notes, back orders, deliveries, etc
  • Liaising with the despatch team to ensure orders are packed/delivered correctly and on time
  • Sending out samples, catalogues and prices lists both digitally and via mail
  • Keeping orders and customer information on the system up to date and accurate at all times
  • Liaise with Credit Control regarding Proformas and credit issues, raising proforma invoices
  • Dealing with any customer complaints, passing on where necessary
  • Answering incoming calls as part of the wider sales team
  • General admin and tasks to help and support the Head of International Sales and Asia Account Manager as necessary
The successful Asia Sales Administrator - Mandarin & English speaking will have / be:
  • 1+ years experience working in a customer service, sales, or office-based admin position ideal. Experience in the hospitality or retail fields an advantage
  • Fluent in spoken and written Mandarin and English
  • Knowledge of both the Chinese retail environment, and the UK office culture
  • A quick learner with a positive, can do attitude
  • Keen to establish a career in this field and grow in the role
  • A great communicator with a personable approach and an excellent telephone manner
  • Highly organised and an expert multi-tasker
  • Proactive with the ability to act on your own initiative, whilst being a positive team member
  • Numerate, and proficient with Microsoft Office
  • A team player, with a flexible approach - always willing to go the extra mile!
