Ruby Engineer - £65,000 - £70,000 + benefitsUnderstanding Recruitment are currently working in partnership with a successful and growing technology company based in Central London in the recruitment of an experienced Web Developer/Engineer (Ruby on Rails Developer). As the Ruby Web Developer, you will join a small, growing team who are responsible for developing software that is used by multiple well-known companies across the UK.As this a small team, the Web Developer (Ruby on Rails) will add value immediately to the future direction and success of the systems. We are looking for someone who is strong in Ruby on Rails, and enjoys working within an Agile environment and gaining constant exposure to new technologies.Key skills and experienced need for the Web Developer - Ruby on Rails:

  • Proven development experience using Ruby on Rails
  • Have previously build API based apps
  • Experience of working within a Test Driven (TDD) environment
  • Skilled with web tech such as HTML5, JavaScript, CSS
  • Agile / Scrum / XP experience
  • Experience with MySQL / PostgreSQL / Redit
  • Working knowledge of Linux / OSX
  • Understanding of 12 Factor App Design would be great
