Role Context: The Risk Solutions team sits within the business second line risk function alongside the fixed income, equity, multi-asset and private markets investment risk teams. It has responsibility for ownership of the risk models used across the business, providingderivatives support from a valuation, collateral and risk metrics perspective and providing key risk reports to the business, clients and regulators. Work Level Accountabilities: Experienced Colleague:

• Accountable for delivering expert advice or service, using specialist knowledge and subject matter expertise
• Applies judgement to deliver outcomes, evaluating a range of potential solutions, considering the impact for customers, cost and risk
• Manages conflicts that may impact delivery
• Challenges upwards given knowledge of delivery and awareness of complex systems and the broader picture
• Identifies and anticipates need for changes to continuously improve quality and efficiency of output
• Manages resources and risks using expert judgment, know-how and experience

Responsibilities:

• Validation and ownership of Aladdin risk models and their inputs
• Providing risk support to the Derivatives Management Group and Fixed Income fund managers on hedging activities
• Providing derivatives expertise across the business
• Validating new instruments to ensure they are fully supported from a valuation & risk perspective
• Validating investment valuation models
• Producing key risk reports for internal business units, external clients and regulators
• Responding to ad-hoc queries for risk metrics

Skills, Knowledge & Experience:

• 4 years+ experience in an investment risk, investment quant analytics or similar role at an asset management house or other financial services organisation
• Understanding of derivatives (rates, inflation, credit) and the drivers of their valuations & risk metrics
• Understanding of fixed income and equity risk models
• Knowledge of VaR and UCITS/AIFMD leverage calculations would be beneficial
• Ability to work to tight deadlines. Attention to detail. Ability to set own priorities and deadlines and respond to requests from other business areas in a timely and professional manner
• A good degree in a finance related or quantitative subject. CFA qualified desirable.
• Experience in VBA and SQL would be strongly preferred. Additional Python knowledge would also be welcome.
• Experience with Aladdin highly desirable
• Good communication skills. Comfortable in communicating ideas and analysis at different levels
• Keen interest in learning and applying new skills
