Job Description

Their large but focused footprint gives them an established position in Europe plus a significant presence in the Americas and AsiaPacific. Deutsche Bank offer their clients commercial and investment banking, retail banking and transaction banking as well as ground-breaking asset and wealth management products and services.On behalf of Deutsche Bank, AMS are now looking for a Risk Manager to work in their Non Financial Riskteam based in London on a PAYE basis on an initial 6 Month Contract.Overview:Key responsibilities:

  • Administration on DB administered (DBIQ-proprietary index administration and non-DBIQ populations)
  • Index methodology reviews across all asset classes including ESG and low carbon benchmarks, algorithmic, hybrid, commodities, hedge fund indices etc
  • Index publication controls
  • Life cycle event controls-new index launches,materials changes and cessations
  • Regulatory guidance advisory for DB businesses
  • Relationship with 3rd party data providers and index administrators
  • Close collaboration with DB and non-DB Index users (Trading, Structuring,Sales,Research,DWS and International Private Bank)
  • Global Benchmark inventory maintenance
  • Usage control change and project management (mappings, Refinitiv feeds,system improvements, etc.)
  • Usage Control execution (daily and quarterly monitoring and monthly MI production)
  • Regulatory Change and Analytics:
  • UK /EU Benchmark Regulation and SFDR implementation including ESMAQ&As, RTS and Delegated Acts
  • Participation in Consultation responses, Index / Benchmark industry forums and working groups (ISDA or DB internal WGs)
  • Potential involvement in ESG / Sustainable Finance topics from the Risk Management perspective
  • Ad-hoc research, insight and deep understanding of the data underpinning the Banks participation in benchmarks and indices
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Previous experience within a Risk role from within an investment bank or similar
  • A good graduate or post-graduate degree in finance, legal or quantitative discipline, CFAor CAIA is preferred
  • Broad asset class / product knowledge.
  • Some ESG or Sustainable Finance certification is a plus.
  • Ideally direct or indirect experience in Indices / Benchmarks space.
  • Solid experience in operating with large data sets would be preferential
  • Familiar with Bloomberg or Reuters data sources
  • Interest in Benchmark and Sustainable Finance regulatory developments and reforms (UK and EU Benchmark Regulations, EU Taxonomy, SFDRetc)and changes in auditing standards
