UCL Library Services supports UCLs mission in education, enterprise and research through the professionalism of our staff, outstanding services, and world-class resources. We also provide comprehensive services to healthcarestaff through our partnerships with 6 NHS Trusts. UCL Library Services holds the UK Customer Service Excellence (CSE) Award, and Archives Service Accreditation.The Library Services family comprises 14 libraries, the UCL Student Centre, Special Collections facilities, multiple additional learning spaces, and an off-site store. The combined staff in UCL Library Services totals around 380.Based in UCL Library Services, you will have a pan-UCL remit working with colleagues from across Research Innovation and Global Engagement (RIGE*), HR and Faculties to help develop a healthier and more sustainable research culture. A positive research cultureis critical to maintaining research excellence and UCLs global research position as well as supporting researcher wellbeing.*Library Services is part of the newly established Office of the UCL Vice-Provost (RIGE) - which brings together a range of functions, services and resources for the UCL community and external partners.Main purpose of the jobProvide project and administrative support the development and implementation of plans to improve UCLs research culture.Duties and responsibilitiesSupport delivery and coordination of UCLs Research Culture work through provision of project and administrative support.* Provide administrative support across a range of projects, including arranging meetings and note-taking; maintaining project-related documentation and liaising with project leads to monitor progress.* Set up and maintain a clear and effective, electronic filing system where all documentation is accessible and up-to-date.* Help create PowerPoint slide decks and format reports and other documents.* Help collect and integrate information from a range of different sources for reporting purposes.* Provide event management support for multi-stakeholder workshops.* Provide administrative support to convene and run the Research Culture Operations Group.* Provide diary management support for the Head of Research Culture.Person specQualification, experience, knowledge* Experience of organising meetings and events - E* Experience of working with limited supervision and taking responsibility for meeting service standards and agreeing targets and workloads-E* Good command of English and good written communication skills including strong spelling, grammar and editing-E* Experience of researching, collating and drafting correspondence and papers-E* Experience of working in a Higher Education setting, successfully delivering work for, and/or with, academic colleagues - DSkills and abilities* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently to tight deadlines on a range of concurrent projects.- E* A flexible and pro-active approach to work including the ability to identify and manage multiple priorities. - E* Ability to work calmly under pressure and to maintain a high standard of attention to detail and accuracy in all activities undertaken.-E* Demonstrable and strong interpersonal skills, including working effectively with colleagues at different levels of seniority. - E* Demonstrable ability to learn new process and systems quickly in a fast-paced environment.-E* Very good interpersonal skills, including diplomacy and discretion, and experience of liaising effectively with individuals at all levels.-E* Highly computer literate and confident with Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel-EPersonal attributes* Culturally and politically aware - E* Demonstrable high degree of initiative, motivation, creativity, and resilience, with a results-orientation- E* Highly team-focused, with energy and enthusiasm - E* Willingness and flexibility to undertake training and adapt to new systems quickly.-EUCL Ways of Working:* Taking proactive steps where you see an opportunity to fulfil a need.* Knowing your key stakeholders and keeping them informed.* Working methodically, prioritising and managing tasksAdvantage Resourcing is a service driven recruitment consultancy.
