Job Description

This is an important role, within the Finance team based in London. The role holder will join a team of over 30 finance professionals who provide financial planning and budgeting, reporting, Tax, control and general ledger oversight for NHS Property Services.Lead the production of the Consolidated results across NHS PS and help drive company visions and values and shape department "eco-system" and culture of pro-activeness, excellence and understanding.Key duties and responsibilities of the roleWe are looking for a responsible Consolidation Manager to lead and develop the NHS PS consolidated reporting process for Group Financial Control. You will also prepare financial documents and reports.You should combine excellent numeracy skills with the ability to analyse and present complex data. To be successful in this role, you should be able to use critical thinking to implement financial improvements.Main purpose / scope of the roleUltimately, you should plan, communicate, evaluate, design and lead the NHS PS company GFC consolidated reporting process, including:

  • End to End month end reporting plan / timetable, including comms (including Balance sheet)
  • Standard month end / consolidation templates, including R&O
  • NHS PS consolidated month end, with AM/FM/ Overheads splits, including TLR/TLC
  • Reporting of the Corporate Dashboard and providing oversight of Finance KPIs
  • Reporting of Property / Customer actuals
  • Lead on ensuring the income to cost link to drive a better understanding of our income
  • Business partner the rest of Finance to support delivery of the month end for NHS PS
  • Month end reports for ExCo / A&G committee / Board demonstrating insight and value add commentary to enable management actions
  • System actuals for month end "one version of the truth" for all to use
  • Business partner Financial Control with reporting of Balance sheet
  • Month end process & procedures
  • Expert advice / support to other GFC as and when required
  • Organise and manage own work to meet the day to day delivery and output requirements of the Consolidated reporting deliverables
  • Work closely with the other areas of Finance including the Management Accounting and Business Partner teams
  • Develop the insight and financial stewardship through delivering the monthly and ad-hoc Exec reporting packs
  • Department of Health quarterly and adhoc reporting
