Job Description

Job Title Regulatory Management Group (RMG) Corporate Title Associate/ Assistant Vice President Location New York, NY (All roles to be considered)OverviewIn a period of ever-increasing regulatory scrutiny across the banking industry, regulatory management is critical to safeguarding the integrity and reputation of the Bank and ensuring that regulatory requirements are met. The Regulatory Management Group (RMG)was established to manage Deutsche Banks relationships with the US regulators across the FRBNY, NYDFS, Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), Outbound Control Centers (OCC), CFPB (the Prudential Regulator), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC),Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) (including exchanges under FINRA remit), Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), NFA, Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME), CFE, and Intercontinental Exchange Inc (ICE). RMG partners with divisional functionsand businesses to synchronize regulatory engagements and holistically manage supervisory initiatives with all of the regulators in the US. RMGs mission is to safeguard the integrity and reputation of the Bank while promoting a culture of compliance with keysupervisory and regulatory priorities, applicable rules and best practices. RMGs key role is to manage and foster balanced and strategic regulatory relationships, coordinate and manage regulatory examinations, inquiries and remediation efforts and communicatesupervisory priorities. What Youll Do
  • Support regulatory exams, inquiries, deep-dives and other in-depth reviews across regulators. Adopt RMG central best practices and protocols across all exams, inquiries, deep dives and in-depth reviews
  • Add regulatory findings, requests, meetings in centralized repository
  • Assist in developing internal RMG US report for input into various reginal and global forums
  • Daily Reports upload to FRBNY/DFS/FDIC
  • Manage regulatory notifications
  • Support RMG Head in managing Management Board meetings, Trilaterals regulator meetings, and other critical meetings
Skills Youll Need
  • Relevant work experience within the banking / financial services industry with strong knowledge of financial markets and risk management
  • Understanding of Fixed Income, Wealth Management, Risk Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/ Anti-Money Laundering (AML)/ Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), and Compliance preferred. Regulatory background is a plus.
Skills That Will Help You Excel
  • Strong MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access skills and the ability to adapt to new technology to leverage for management reporting
  • Business writing skills with ability to communicate complex ideas simply and convincingly, ask insightful questions, break analytical challenges into workable components, and draw meaningful conclusions
  • Highly motivated, with strong organizational, analytical and problem solving skills, possessing follow through, ability to manage, monitor, track, and clearly communicate progress on multiple projects
  • Detail oriented with a sense of urgency and immediacy. Must be able to pick up an action at a moments notice, decipher good enough for the task at hand then follow up with polished product based on feedback and further clarification, and navigate tightand non-negotiable deadlines, escalating issues when appropriate, be the buffer Display good judgment around prioritization and knowing what is relevant and important to your regulator and your coverage area
ExpectationsIt is the Banks expectation that employees hired into this role will work in the New York office in accordance with the Banks hybrid working model. The salary range for this position in New York City is $85,000 to $120,750. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidates skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications.
