Role: This Regulatory Director Retail role will play a pivotal role at the heart of Ofgem by providing leadership and direction for delivering key projects and business as usual regulatory matters to drive forward Ofgems strategic agenda. As the strategic lead, you will have the ability to inspire a diverse range of professionals to deliver against Ofgems strategy. A typical day might involve: Chairing a meeting of heads of industry to discuss key issues Participating in a panel session with other regulators on inclusive design Meeting with BEIS to discuss the alignment between our respective strategies Discussing the directorate D&I targets and actions with the corporate Head of D&I Reviewing a regular report on the health of the suppliers in the market Agreeing with the compliance team how to progress a potential licence breach by one of the licensees Discussing with a team the way forward on our vulnerability strategy Meeting with the other members of the Executive Committee to discuss and resolve internal and external issues facing the organisationKnowledge, Skills and Experience:We are looking for someone with the capacity to understand the sector and work with the executive team to deliver against it. You will be at the forefront of strengthening Ofgems decisions on behalf of consumers within a dynamic and agile environment. In addition, the successful applicant will be a full member of the Executive leadership team and will be expected to play a full part in developing the wider Ofgem strategy, organisational transformation and our day to day management. The Director will be a full member of Ofgems Executive Committee and directly involved in all key Executive decisions.
