Overview: Citi has a significant footprint in EMEA with physical presence in 55 countries and serves clients through all ICG businesses such as Banking Capital Markets and Advisory, Markets, Securities Services, Treasury and Trade Solutions, Commercial Bank, and throughGlobal Wealth. This role will be supporting the EMEA Risk & Control Lead in managing the 1st Line risk in the region. The role will work with Risk and Control colleagues, who are supporting clusters and businesses in the region to understand the EMEA business risk profiles, roll out of enhanced risk and control frameworks, and ensure consistency in issue/event management. The role will also cooperate with Independent Risk, Control functions and Internal Audit to enhance local control standards and support business management in their oversight. In addition, this role will support Citis transformation by connecting to global program with local initiatives to effectively achieve the firms strategy. Responsibilities: Provide support to the EMEA Risk & Control Management to ensure a robust assessment and proactive mitigation of the compliance, regulatory and reputational risk for EMEA businesses and geographies Partner with in-business Risk and Control leads to co-ordinate key regulatory priorities, issue remediations, lessons learned, and transformation plans across the businesses and jurisdictions in EMEA Support the Business Risk and Control Committees, Reputation Risk Committee and other forums focusing on Compliance and Conduct risks Work with control partners, 2nd line Independent Compliance Risk Management and Internal Audit to facilitate effective control remediation efforts in EMEA Provide SME guidance regarding certain key EMEA impacting rules and regulations Development values The position provides a very wide scope of activities, geographic and legal entity coverage with frequent interaction with senior management of all geographic, product, risk and functional lines. In addition to this exposure, the position provides learningopportunities for leadership across a diverse set of countries in EMEA with a wide range of management challenges. Qualifications & skills: Significant professional experience in Risk and Control / Compliance, /Consulting Advisory/ product compliance background is a plus Experience in interpretation and implementation of new rules and regulations Good understanding of certain key rules and regulations such as Mifid II, MAR, EMIR, Benchmarks, CSDR, CFTC and SEC Swap Dealer rules Experience with due diligencing of deals/transactions from a compliance and reputational risk perspective Understanding of different investment banking businesses and functions.
