Job Description

Recruitment Team Leader / Band 6 (Please only apply if you have worked directly for the NHS)The Recruitment Team Leader takes responsibility for the day to day operational management of the recruitment services function, ensuring that workloads are being effectively managed across the service to the expected quality standards and key performance indicators.The postholder will also take a lead on designated areas of specialism or key projects such as InternationalLocation: East LondonTemporary: Expected to last 5 months with possible extensionHours per week: 37.5 hours per weekSalary: £21 to £25 per hour (Umbrella) or £19 to £22 per hour (PAYE inclusive of holiday)Experience

  • Experience of supervising or managing a team
  • Experience of recruitment in an NHS environment
  • Minimum of 2 years previous experience within a customer focussed recruitment or human resources service
  • Experience of working within a process driven, strongly governed environment
  • Experience of leading projects or working as part of a project team to a successful outcome using project management methodology
  • Experience of conducting and reporting on internal audit
  • Identifying and implementing improvements to processes
  • Delivering training on recruitment and selection processes and methods
  • Experience of using electronic workflow systems
  • Experience of delivering to KPI and SLA standards
  • Managing individual and volume recruitment campaigns
  • Experience of Medical Recruitment in an NHS environment, including Doctors in Training
  • General
  • Work with the Recruitment Team Manager and other Team Leaders to define long term recruitment commissioning and service plans, and co-ordinate implementation within the team
  • Produce and provide reports on team activity to Recruitment Team Managers, the Workforce Services Senior Management Team and other managers in the organisation as required
  • Lead on designated project areas as directed such as international recruitment, social media, the Careers Service and Doctors in Training recruitment
  • Provide training on recruitment and selection to recruiting managers
  • Lead on specific recruitment campaigns as directed, working with external advertising partners to ensure return on investment and effective recruitment outcomes
  • Act as a fully engaged member of the Recruitment Services management team, supporting colleagues as necessary
  • Deputise for Recruitment Team Managers as required
  • Team Management
  • Day-to-day management of designated teams across the Recruitment Service, providing cover for other Team Leaders as required
  • Work with Recruitment Team Managers to ensure that team members have regular 1:1’s, appraisals, personal development plans and identified training needs
  • Organise the workloads of team members such that they are enabled to deliver a high quality recruitment service in accordance with agreed key performance indicators
  • Responsible for the induction programme and training for all new members of staff within the team
  • Ensure team members are fully trained in agreed Trust recruitment processes and policies, NHS Employers, Immigration regulations and other employment law or regulations as relevant to recruitment practice
  • Maintain proactive team meetings, ensuring all meetings are minuted and actions completed
  • Maintain staff records for designated team members, ensuring Health Roster is updated and reflects annual leave, sickness and other leave
  • Ensure that team members are compliant with all mandatory training requirements
