Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Reconciliations and Pensions Analyst to join a dynamic team responsible for overseeing outsourced operational services relating to payments into or out of a leading UK Direct to Consumer (D2C) retail platform. Thesuccessful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the compliance of platform service provider business activities with all applicable regulatory and policy guidelines. What youll do:As a Reconciliations and Pensions Analyst, you will be at the heart of our operations, playing a pivotal role in overseeing outsourced operational services. Your keen eye for detail will be essential in reviewing contribution payments, processing tax reliefreceipts, and ensuring client documentation is complete and accurate. You will also be instrumental in building relationships with our outsourced service providers, acting as a point of escalation for any queries or high priority issues. Your ability to createand revise procedures will contribute significantly to the smooth running of our Cash & Assets Oversight team.
  • Administer the team mailbox, providing responses where possible and escalating relevant items to senior team members or Manager
  • Complete daily control checklist tasks with a high level of attention to detail
  • Review contribution payments and processing, ensuring tax relief receipts are collected and passed on to clients
  • Review drawdown processing and client payments, checking Internal Client Money Reconciliations, External Client Money Reconciliations and Asset Reconciliations
  • Build and maintain the day-to-day relationship between our company and our outsourced service providers; acting as a point of escalation for any queries or high priority issues
  • Create and revise procedures relating to processes undertaken by the Cash & Assets Oversight team
What you bring:The ideal candidate for this Reconciliations and Pensions Analyst position brings a wealth of experience from a similar role within the industry. You will have a solid understanding of relevant industry regulations and regulators, and experience with a D2Cretail investment platform would be highly beneficial. Your knowledge and understanding of internal control theory and practices will be key to your success in this role, as will your excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experience required
  • Experience performing a similar role within the industry
  • Solid understanding of relevant industry regulations/regulators (i.e. HMRC, FCA, TPR, COBS, CASS)
  • Experience with a D2C retail investment platform highly preferential
  • Knowledge and understanding of internal control theory and practices
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrable experience in pensions administration
  • Demonstrable experience in cash reconciliations
  • Part or full qualification in CFA, CII, IOC or IMC.
