Job Description

Green Façades Ltd, is an accredited main contractor, based in London, the South East and the Midlands with over a decade of experience in the construction industry. We aim is to provide cost effective, high quality external façade solutionsfor commercial construction projects, with insurance and guarantees provided. We specialise in all aspects of external façade application and offer design solutions, including CAD drawings and 3D modelling, which are backed by PI insurance.Why work for us

We are currently recruiting for a proactive Quantity Surveyor, who has a strong background in Cladding projects. The successful Quantity Surveyor will work with the Director on upcoming projects (Commercial & Residential) across the UK,delivering pre and post contract services.The duties would involve:
  • Pricing/forecasting the cost of the different components needed for a project.
  • Tracking changes to the design and/or construction work and adjusting budget projections in line with these.
  • Selecting and/or sourcing construction materials.
  • Sourcing contractors and/or subcontractors to work on the construction stage of the project.
  • Measuring and valuing the work done on site.
  • Dealing with financial and legal problems.
  • Paying subcontractors.
  • Liaising with the client and other construction professionals, such as site managers, project managers and site engineers.
The above list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks as may be expected to perform within the scope of their role.Experience/skills required:
  • 4+ Years of Quantity Surveyor experience
  • BSc or MSc in Quantity Surveying or experience equivalent
  • Membership of RICS, ICES or CIOB preferred
  • Experience with Cladding or re-cladding work
  • Business and Customer Awareness
  • A strong work ethic, flexibility, self-motivation and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Confident and able to communicate effectively with a variety of clients, suppliers, sub-contractors and stakeholders
