Job Description

Quality Engineer - RailLocation– LondonMy client, one of the most successful companies within the UK construction and infrastructure industry have a fantastic opportunity within their Rail department for an ambitious and talented Quality Engineer come on board to aid the Quality Manager in providingtechnical support and advice on quality issues.The successful Quality Engineer will likely be willing and competent in the following:

  • Support the development, implementation, maintenance and improvement of process and procedures
  • Act as the lead auditor with responsibility for the management of the process and the audit to identify risks accurately and suggest improvements
  • Develop individual audit plans and detailed scope to cover identified risk areas for activities to be audited
  • Utilise quality management tools and techniques to promote continuous improvements and quality
Required skills and expertise
  • Educated to degree, HND or HNC level (or an equivalent), preferably in an engineering or construction related subject
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 with an understanding of the requirements of ISO 140001 and ISO 18001
  • Experience on civil engineering projects in a quality role
  • Good communication skills including report writing and the ability to interface with staff across all levels of the project.
