Job Description

Role: Quality Assurance AnalystA role has arisen at a really exciting time for this syndicate, they have gone through lots of positive changes and are now looking to expand in their Underwriting Operations teamThe main purpose of this role is to assist the wider Quality Assurance team to ensure that underwriting controls are embedded and effectively monitored, allowing for best practice across the Syndicate (and associated service companies). Ensuring a well-definedand operational control framework is in place ultimately aids sound business decisions and ensures that regulatory risk is minimised.

  • Supporting the wider Quality Assurance team document, embed and enhance the Underwriting Operations Control Framework ensuring compliance with Lloyds Minimum Standards and other regulatory requirements.
  • Provide best in class support across all Product Groups, attending meetings and answering system and process ad hoc questions from underwriters.
  • Liaise with the Syndicates chosen outsourcer to ensure KPI reports are provided on time and assist with any data entry queries.
  • Work with the wider Operations team to coordinate required regular internal reporting to underwriting teams as well as to relevant Committees and Boards.
  • Undertake regular data quality checks and analysis to help ensure data held within underwriting systems is complete and accurate.
  • Contribute towards digital initiative projects and transformation programmes as required.
  • Perform thorough data quality checks and analysis, assisting in process improvement where required
  • Produce required Underwriting, Committee and Board reporting.
  • Assist with a number of regulatory returns, e.g. PPL target adherence.
Required Experience:
  • At least 1/ 2 years of insurance industry experience (Would consider a fresh grad who has done an insurance internship)
  • Knowledge of the Lloyds Market preferable
  • Attention to detail with experience in Quality checking data
  • Experience of underwriting control environment and outsourcing desirable
