Job Description

A leading financial services organisation is currently searching for QA Tester on a 6 month rolling contract basis.The day rate for this role is £800 - 925 Umbrella per day, their working policy is four days to full time required in their City of London office. However, for the correct candidate they will offer 2/3 days working from home, if results commited and trustworthy. Responsibilities and requirements to be sucessul for the role are;

    • Experience as a Test Analyst/Lead or equivalent role in a leading financial services organization (must have capital markets, front office or trading industry experience).
    • Relevant testing experience in (test planning, documenting tests, test scenarios, - prerequisite) test cases and project lifecycle
    • Financial markets experience with a range of Financial Service products, i.e. Equites, Fixed Income; Bond, Repos, Convertible Bonds, Warrants, Loans and Deposits
    • Proficient with SQL queries.
    • Functional testing very good to have
    • Experience using JIRA - Prerequisite
    • Standardizing testing in the business area
    • Experience testing compliance, regulation, surveillance, market abuse, trade surveillance
    • Understanding of software development and project management tools and practices.
    • Confidence in communicating clearly with both IT and business stakeholders.
    • Ability to prioritise, manages uncertainty, and be calm and resilient when under pressure.
    • Attention to detail - ability to work at both a detailed and summarised level as appropriate.
    • Proven "hands on" Test lead and TA skills and experience. (ISTQB foundation certification)
    • Proven track record of integration and end to end testing skills.
    • Ability to discuss and debate requirements and determine solutions.
    • Ability to translate business requirements into test scenarios and vice versa.
    • Proven track record of providing guidance to management.
    • Proven track record of defining functional test cases.
    • Proven track record of managing a defect list.
    • Ability to handle multiple deadlines and associated pressures.
    • Manage work independently and be flexible within continually changing priorities.
    • Needs to be comfortable operating in a team environment within a matrix management model but capable of working with minimal supervision
