Role/ Department:Performs all aspects of tests functionality, performance, reliability, usability, and security of the software Skills and Responsibilities:

• Works within broad guidelines and policies
• Management and organizational skills are required to discover the Business Units goals, resources needed, and to assess and develop the skills of staff
• Develops and executes automated tests, and manual test cases and investigates/assists in problem analysis, as well as the resolution of delivered software components
• Identifies, evaluates and recommends QA process and activities supporting software engineering in an agile environment
• Participates in the design and development of a common, scalable, reusable, easy-to-maintain and effective testing automation and execution framework
• Documents software issues and enhancement requests and assists development with concise and detailed steps for replication of defects found while performing manual and automated functional, integration, and regression tests
• Ad-hoc testing of new features for bugs and adherence to specifications
• Implements fully automated test suites for UI and API level testing to be used in all phases of development and to monitor production environments
• Documents of test plans and environment
• Estimation of testing effort in the development workflow
• Clear communicates testing problems found and provides suitable reasoning/recommendations
• Helps define, improve and implement testing best practices

Experience:

• Experience with ensuring Quality in a software delivery environment as well as testing complex systems
• Hands-on experience in a multitude of domains; including consuming and understating requirements in an agile environment, business analysis, database development, quality engineering, business process development and refinement, and process mapping
• Experience with UI automation tools
• Experience with Non Functional Testing such as Performance, Reliability etc
• Experience with test data identification and creation
• Exposure to test management tools (e.g. JIRA, Azur / ALM)
• Java / java script programming experience
• Experience pairing with developers to design, build, and improve test automation
• Hands-on DevOps experience developing and delivering products in a collaborative, agile environment
• Able to look beyond the status quo and identify areas of constant change/improvement
• Experience in building and maintaining test automation frameworks
• CI/CD experience using CI/CD tools like Azure DevOps, Bamboo, GitHub Actions and Jenkins
• Expertise in open source automation tools like Selenium, REST Assured API, Appium, Cucumber, Gatling, Github
• Strong exposure to build tools like Maven and Gradle
• Experience working on messaging based applications/services , service contract and microservice architecture
• A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is preferred.
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience;
• May lead small projects with manageable risks and resource requirements
• Professional experience developing and delivering products in a collaborative, agile team environment

• Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines
• Applies best practices and how own area integrates with others
• Is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
