Job Description

QA Automation Test Engineer Tasks

  • Developing Java automated scripts using Selenium library and Cucumber BDD
  • Creating and executing regression tests across multiple environments as changes are promoted and staged for production
  • Verifying the health of the websites user journeys through the automated scripts. Manual validation of the failures and script update when necessary
  • Raising accurate and detailed defects and issues on Jira
  • Involvement in business activities and the decision making process in order to be aware of sudden changes that might impact the test results

Qualifications
  • A minimum Bachelors degree is required in Computer Science, IT, or in a Technology-related field
  • Experience with Java application development and support or Automation framework development
  • Knowledge of automation testing using Java - Selenium Webdriver, Cucumber BDD or AGood understanding of enterprise infrastructure and application components (network, application and database servers, storage, computing, etc)
  • Knowledge of source code repository tools using Git, Bitbucket, SourceTree, etc
  • Clear communicator (written and verbal) - to ensure ability to write test plans and to communicate bugs to developers and other QA teams
