Responsibilities and duties: • Responsible for the coordination of all UK testing activities (including UAT/BVT) and artifacts (Test plan and Test scenarios/scripts) • Analysis and creation of formal test documentation in line with Bank policy including project test plan, status reports and summary report • Effectively communicates test plans, test reports, and test metrics to Senior Leadership and UK Change Management team • Will need to work both individually and with a team of Test Managers on both Epic level and Program level planning and execution activities • Work with IT Delivery pods and Product Managers to ensure project estimates across various lifecycle stages for all test types involved in a project are accurate and tracked • Involvement in the management of test deliverables between on-site and off-site vendor teams. • Management of multiple workstreams of test planning and execution with different stakeholder teams at the same time • Work with IT on the environment readiness for test execution and preparation activities for deployment • Manage test data as input into test execution, validating results and record defects including the conducting of UAT testing where appropriate. • Provide detailed traceability between business requirements/user stories and test outputs • Research, prioritise, and manage defect reports and resolution activities with both Business and IT Senior Management Profile of the required applicant • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and ability to communicate with staff with both technical and business background (e.g. system owners, system engineers, business leaders, business analysts) • Solid Test Manager experience on multiple different projects in either retail or corporate banking • Ideally the successful candidate will have some Regulatory Reporting, Accounting, Finance, Data, FX or Operations test experience. • Ability to communicate at all levels of an organisation; distilling complex testing data/situations into discrete understandable components operating independently taking ownership as required. • Strong interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, negotiating, influencing, facilitation, organisational, prioritisation, decision-making and conflict resolution skills • Execution focused and able to operate at a "hands on" level without compromising effective delegation • Understanding/experience of business process change and IT project delivery • Ability to operate comfortably in a multi-task / multi priority environment across a global team • Must be flexible, dynamic and Team player • Must be detail oriented and capable of analyzing issues from the perspective of customers/users • Ideally good knowledge of major banking applications / environments (e.g. WSS, Flexcube, EDW, SOA, etc..) • Proven knowledge of software testing methodologies and practices including Agile and SDLC. • Must be comfortable using JIRA and Confluence • Preferably a background of predominantly UAT and some QA test experience
