A fast-growing prop-tech company based in the heart of London are looking for a Python Tech Lead to join their engineering team. The platform is centred around managing property maintenance for landlords and allows tenants to upload images of repairs needed,which the landlord can use to choose the appropriate tradesman and fixed price for repairs. Alongside this it provides insight for clients into management, operational and performance data, helping them deliver their customer service promise, while optimisingsupplier costs and adhering to their environmental, social and governance goals.After significant funding, they are scaling their Engineering teams, which currently consists of 80+ members and are looking to grow over the year to a team size of 100 and are looking for a Tech Lead to come in and:Responsibilities:- Design, build and maintain APIs, micro-services and data pipelines- Helping to mentor a small team of engineers- Write technical documentation of code, algorithms and APIs- Conduct code reviews and promote the development of well-formulated, testable and readable codeRequirements:- 5+ Years or extensive experience in Python/Django - Working knowledge in PostgreSQL, AWS, React.js, Alt.js, Node.js, Docker- Excellent communication skills with ability to articulate technical concepts in plain English- Experience managing junior team members (senior/tech lead experience)- Strong academic backgroundThe company are offering a competitive salary up to £100k based on experience and a remote friendly working environment, with a diverse office in the heart of London.
