As part of our team,you will provide strategic guidance, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and maintain the highest standards of technical excellence.Key Responsibilities:• Technology Strategy: Lead the technology strategy and implementation for the banks Office of Applied AI, ensuring seamless integration with value streams and supporting the generative AI platform.• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, develop technical specifications, and deliver high-quality code in an Agile environment.• Backend Infrastructure: Design and maintain the backend infrastructure for the banks generative AI platform, optimising performance, scalability, and reliability.• Workflow Orchestration: Implement workflow orchestration solutions using Python and Terraform to streamline and automate processes within the AI program.• DevOps Practices: Utilize DevOps best practices to continuously integrate, test, and deploy code updates, minimizing downtime and maximizing efficiency.• Cloud Expertise: Leverage Azure platform experience to build and manage cloud-based infrastructure, optimizing for cost, performance, and security.• Industry Trends: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in AI, analytics, and backend system engineering to ensure the bank remains competitive and innovative.• Code Reviews and Feedback: Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.• Technical Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on the AI program.• Documentation Excellence: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for the backend systems, ensuring adherence to relevant data protection and privacy regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures.Required Skills:• Proficiency in Python and familiarity with JavaScript.• Strong understanding and experience with version control systems like Git.• Expertise in Python web frameworks such as Flask or FastAPI.• Knowledge of relational databases, such as SQL Server.• Experience working in a cloud environment, preferably Microsoft Azure.• Ability to write unit tests and conduct Test-Driven Development (TDD).• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines for automated build, testing, and deployment.• Strong understanding of agile methodologies.• Ability to write clear and comprehensive documentation for code and APIs.InterestedAt emagine, we are committed to building an international and diverse team by embracing our different backgrounds.If you are up to the challenge and would like to find out more, get in touch with us immediately.
